On March 4, 1995 the
Children’s choir studio in the Chapel, a branch of
A.Baranauskas and A.Vienuolis-Zukauskas Memorial Museum,
was organized. Grazina Pileckiene is the teacher.
The girls of 1-12 forms
take part in it. The religious music predominates. Every
Sunday the choir sings in St. Matthew Church in
Anyksciai. The choristers went to other churches too:
Varniai, Telsiai, Mazeikiai, Kretinga, Nida, Zarasai
etc. In summer they organize camping in Moletai
district, by lake Siesartis.
The choir takes part in
various concerts, festivals, competitions. The rector of
the St. Matthew Church Stanislovas Krumpliauskas and the
vicar Simas Maksvytis are the guardians of the choir.
