The collection of A.Baranauskas and A.Vienuolis-Zukauskas Memorial Museum consists of the exhibits of A.Baranauskas, A.Vienuolis-Zukauskas, J.Biliunas, L. and S. Didziuliai, B.Buivydaite, K.Kairys and historical cultural exhibits of Anyksciai district. The collection is centralized, only the registration of the exhibits of the Horse Museum is independent (more about the collection of the Horse Museum >>>).
On January 1, 2003 the collection of the Museum consisted of 21 057 exhibits, 12 212 belong to the main collection and 8 845 belong to the subsidiary collection.
The greatest part of the collection consists of the memorial furniture, things, epistle material, photographs, the writer’s library and some manuscripts.
The heritage of other writers is more fragmentary. Separate things, documents, letters, photographs are protected.
The cultural historical department preserves archaeological collections. There are javelin ends, arrow points, coins, adornments and fragments of ceramics in it. Also you can find the material of resistance (photographs, documents), the deportee relics.
Making the inventory the exhibits are divided into sections: documents (391), photographs (3 167), printings (3 934), archeological things (107), numismatic things (233), memorial things (909), art things (223).
