2004 is a year when the
Museum is implementing a project Don’t Turn Away from
Yourself supported by the Fund of Education Change.
For this purpose, Museum employees are preparing two new
expositions one of which is on the History of Deportation
held in the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, next to the
surviving carriage which once used to take people of Anykščiai
to Siberia. The other on Jewish History is going to be
opened in the former synagogue of Anykščiai.
In the memory of victims of
the totalitarian regimes are going to be open until autumn
for tourists visiting Anykščiai as well as the local
people.
