Anyksciai railway station was built on 1901. A visit to the station is a visit to the last century. All the station complex is almost unchanged: the water-tower, the water-pump, the main station building, the storehouse, living houses, the stone-paved square, the metal bridge across the river Sventoji, the narrow gauge rails, the railway points.

The Water Tower
The old water-supply system is left. The water from the Sventoji was pumped into the water by a pump. The railway engines going to Panevezys were filled with water from the tower and those which went to Svencioneliai were filled from the water pump. When the steam engines were transformed into diesel engines water towers lost their functions.
There was an active fountain in the railway station too.

The Water-Pump
It had to supply engines with water. The pump is in the middle of the railway station territory between two lines of rails.

The Station
The station was built in 1901. The facades are authentic, the roof, windows, doors are decorated with carvings. The building technology, construction, details of decoration were used in one Russian railway station.
The main and the biggest room is on the ground floor. It is a waiting lounge with a booking-office window. The offices for employees were on both sides of the lounge - an office, a booking office, a goods office, a room for a watchman, a department of communication, the archives, a storehouse. A three-room flat was on the first floor.

The Storehouse
Celebrating the hundredth anniversary of the narrow railway in 1999 the exposition of the narrow gauge railway history was started to be organized. It contains narrow railway equipment, icons, documents, photographs, rolling stock.

The Bridge
The steel bridge was built in 1936. An old one stood not far from it. It was wooden. You can see the riverside of the Anyksta and the picturesque river Sventoji. The length of the bridge is 96 m, the width is 4,5 m, the height is 12 m.

The Rails
They were produced at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries in the plants of Russia, Germany, Denmark. The dates found on the rails are 1903, 1914 and 1945. Some rails are older than the railway. The oldest ones were produced in 1878.

The Railway Points
An old traffic regulation system is left: the railway points, jibs, platforms. Some points are from 1914-1915.
